2010 Int'l Marimba Artist Competition Details

We have just posted details and the application for the 2010 CML International Marimba Artist Competition. We are extremely excited to be offering cash prizes to the top three soloists this year!

Performance DVD (audio-only CDs will not be accepted)

$40.00 Application Fee (Personal Check must be drawn from a U.S. bank. Applicants from outside the U.S. should send an international postal money order.)
*All of these items must be received by February 1, 2010 to be eligible.

Audition Repertoire:
Required Set-Piece – "Short Stories, Mvt. II" by Bruce Broughton with piano accomp. (available from Steve Weiss Music)
2-3 Other Solo Marimba Works (without accompaniment)
*Total duration of music on DVD should not exceed 30 minutes (including set-piece)

Winner's Concert:
Each performer may play up to 30 minutes of music (no more)
By entering ths competition, you have committed to performing in concert at the University of Minnestoa (April 28-May 1, 2010)
You are responsible for all travel, lodging and food expenses.
